Connecticut’s lawful sports wagering commenced with a strong beginning in its initial week. Over 1.2 million wagers were made during the “soft launch” period from October 12th to 19th, based on data from GeoComply. The state secured the ninth position in the US for sports betting and casino traffic per capita, despite having a population of only 3.5 million.

Connecticut initiated a seven-day trial phase for sports betting and online gambling on October 12th. The official commencement took place on October 19th.

GeoComply, a firm specializing in verifying online user locations, reported that Connecticut’s online sports betting and casino market experienced a “robust start.” They also indicated that the figures suggest a substantial interest in legal sports betting among residents of New York.
